An engineer by profession and home decor enthusiast by passion, Prajakta started 'satTva' when she moved to Australia from India.

Her sustainable lifestyle has been her constant inspiration to look for eco-friendly products in every aspect of her life. When she could not find many 100% eco-friendly home textile products in Australia, it led her to create her own brand 'satTva'. 

As having an Indian background, she was exposed to many beautiful indigenous arts and techniques to manufacture products that won't burden the earth with their carbon footprints. She wished to promote such forgotten techniques worldwide and give global exposure to these skilful artists.​
